It's a set of musical impressions

During which I'll kick over biscuit tins
(Pretend drumkit!). I hope this idea wins
Some support, which has often been there from
Audiences, but individuals I've seen
And known are reluctant, it sometimes seems
To lend encouragement, they stunt my dreams
But that act could be special. Chic's there too
And finally, Lou Reed outside heaven's
Gate. I'm not doing Elvis, though, as time's
Against me, ten minute slot in the show
To make a real memorable impression
