Just got back from Leeds, went to the Grove Inn
For a jam along to the Doors album
We were groovin' at the Grove Inn, trying
To light our fires and break on through the jam
Reviving the spirits of Ray and Jim
Met some good guys and at The End, carried
My guitar the short walk to Leeds Station
But back in Manchester, sadly it peed
Down on me. Yes OK, could have taxied
Home from Piccadilly, might have been ten
More quid to add to the cost of the damn
Expenses. Mind you, eighteen quid's chick feed
Compared to hiring a car, so saving
About forty or fifty. Soul kitchen!
