A guided walk round the Northern Quarter
A couple of pubs, lastly the Smithfield
Where we met Theresa, yes, Theresa
Then on we went, yes, on to the Castle
But we didn't stay there long, we were real
Pub crawlers, on to the English Lounge, and
Then to the Odd Bar, where we stayed til
The bouncers chucked us out, then walked around
Manchester back to Salford, talking sound
If not vision, which decade's superior
The 70s or 80s. Hey, get real
The gay decade or the era of bands
Who could play? Needless to say, we demurred
And now it's bedtime that really appeals
