It's been one of those long motorway trips
I drove us to Bournemouth and back today
About 500 miles in all, a stiff
Leg or two on my part, but I'm okay
Now, and pleased to be back nice and early
Having seen a match down there, the last ground
Of all the football grounds we had to see
We've been to them all now, been all around
(Bournemouth lost to Rochdale.) Tried to leave town
Quite sharp but went the wrong way. Drove real quick
As we wanted to catch Match Of The Day
Which will be on soon when this sonnet's down
Eleven years they've taken, these visits
To all English soccer stadiums. Hooray!
