A funny sunny evening football fest
In Old Granada Studios, sandy floor
In front of a big screen showing the best
Games today from the World Cup, a real test
For Italy, lost to Costa Rica
A few pints and some food, so hot at first
I went home at half-time, changed to cooler
Clothing, shorts and a vest. It got cooler
Though, as shade replaced sun, and so once more
I walked quickly back home, took off that vest
And dressed appropriately to temperature
England are out, performance has been poor
Especially in midfield and in defence
