Took place, with celebrations through the land
Some nobles regained hereditary land
Continuing William the Conqueror's scheme
Which goes on to this day, unequal land
Of England, hardly a united team
No wonder emigration was the theme
This century, the ousted Puritans
Sailing westward with the promise of land
In return for hard work, with the freedom
Of practising their stern new religion
The American dream in that new land
