Oh dear, I've not practised guitar again
Why do I put it off? But what I did
Was edit my texts from Katie, now down
From 1200 to 30, no more hid
Are those sexy pictures she sent, those slide -
shows of just one picture each time, posed in
The bathroom, most often. Sadly we tried
To arrange a meet this weekend, to find
A quiet place, just us, but the waiting
Goes on, because her tax credits weren't sent
Poor love, she wants to pay her way, and made
Us wait, though it broke her heart. Still texting
As bedtime approaches... I see Wigan
Have surprisingly beaten United

1306 - Run TJB
An unexpected thing happened today
I went for a run, first time since last year
In January, and what made me stray
From the fitness track then was simply sheer
Back pain caused by a run. I thought it clear
That running must be bad for you, so hey -
Why bother, eh? Heaton Park, disappear
And Lyme Park, too! They’re always so muddy!
Whenever it rains - almost every day!
Who needs it? Besides, this fitness delays
Those other ‘projects’ that I hold so dear
That’s fine, but these recent unhealthy ways
Are just speeding up physical decay
I loved my run; hope I run more this year

1070 - Day of rest
Sunday, the day of rest, that precious thing
But life seems to short sometimes for that rest
And yet, if I’m honest, it’s hard to bring
All of my energy to things I must
Think that I want to do. And is it best
To relax, recharge batteries, have fun
Even when guilt is nagging, like a host
Of black bats, from the things I haven’t done?
Been offline for a month; then something wrong
With my spacebar, after a slight lifting
To clean out crumbs. I should’ve left that mess
Because my Dell laptop is a cheap one
Hunter has fixed it, though, with spit. Thanking
Him, and Affia, his sister - I’m impressed!!
