2967 - Three pints, no, more like six

Hi, well what happened today, you ask me
Me and Steve went to an oil terminal
A stone's throw from that good old Salford Quays
I walked back to the office, 'bout two mile
Queued up for ages at Greggs, all the while
Failing to connect to their wi-fi. Then
After work, and tea, tried to raise a smile
At the Kings Arms, in the snug, where the men
Were all acts, only Dermot was audience
Most of it was memorised, and rightly
You don't get anywhere with material
That's all written down, that you can't defend
After that, the Salford Arms, pint or three
And then home, writing this, now my bed calls...
