The rain continues, England is flooding
And twice today I've been out in that rain
Twice today I've had to change wet clothing
Two pairs of trousers and socks had to change
First off I collected Josephine's main
Christmas present, an Ipod, from Salford
Postal depot, then to a football game
With Louis, Man City / Reading. Were bored
Mainly as the rain fell, and City poured
Forward but wouldn't shoot, they kept passing
Like Arsenal, but failing to finally strain
The net, until the last minute. They scored
With a Gareth Barry header, keeping
Up our record of few nil-nils we've seen
