A lovely sunny morning in the park
Yes, with my new Asics I'm on the run
And after one lap, back at the car park
I took my phone from the car, and had fun
Walking around, cooling down, taking one
Or two pictures of typical park sights
People walking dogs, ducks, boats, ice cream cones
Loitering by the lake, hitting the heights
Some water mains repairs, some leaky pipes
Torrents cascading down the hill, a walk
Over grass, under blossom, glad I'd gone
Round again, savouring the spring delights
I always love Sunday in Heaton Park
Great views and happy faces, everyone
