2140 - Two noises

The washing machine's deafening final spin
Is background music to James Blake, it fits
Quite nicely together, chaotic din
Very mechanical. Oh dear, it gets
A bit too quiet there to hear. Oh, now it's
Louder - that's a relief. I need headphones
When the washing machine's fast spin in spurts
Of deafening cacophony gets going
This sort of thing in old days bugged my bones
But now I'm more relaxed, let the noise win
Or let the music pound the noise to bits
Oh, the machine's finale's coming on
And so it fades and dies, silence again
Apart from James Blake, still here in spirit
